Bombora rapid trajectory since inception to continue & reflects benefits of risk specialisation

Recently announced industry statistics identify Bombora as being in the leading 12 Licensee’s in Risk Advice – this comes as the business celebrates the fourth anniversary of their entry into the market.

From a base of zero, in less than four years Bombora’s network now comprises 35 risk advisers operating predominantly on Australia’s east coast. Many of the licensee’s practices are in growth mode as they actively seek to increase their adviser and support staff strength in response to escalating opportunities in their respective markets.

Commenting on the milestone Managing Director Wayne Handley said that the growth of the business was not only ahead of plan but the results were more satisfying given the ‘head winds’ faced by the risk advice sector – I’ve simply been delighted that we’ve continued to attract quality risk firms.

Handley went onto say – ‘even given the very challenging conditions the opportunities for quality risk advice firms has never been better’.

“Since inception, growth for growth’s sake was never the objective for Bombora”, said Wayne Handley. “However, the adoption of a best practice risk specialisation model with a ‘quality over quantity’ focus has resulted in industry leading productivity outcomes for the Bombora network of risk advice professionals”.

Attracting and then assisting advisers that were a cultural fit to improve their business efficiency, capacity and grow by capitalising on the benefits of specialisation supported by proven systems and processes has underpinned Bombora’s compelling marketplace offering.

In addition, Bombora saw its future as one where its professional risk practitioners would work within strategic alliance frameworks with fellow advice providers such as accountants, lawyers and other professional service firms to deliver the very highest standards of client service and advice.

Citing recent examples of alliances, Wayne Handley pointed to Bombora NSW based practice MBS Insurance JV partnership with Pitcher Partners Sydney in late 2016 to provide comprehensive protection solutions and consulting services for clients and business owners.

Perera Crowther on joining Bombora turned out to be the ideal business fit with the establishment of a JV with Econ Financial Services that resulted in Econ Insurance Services.

Looking to the future, Wayne Handley is confident Bombora’s growth trajectory will continue to be positive with the group and its network of advisers going from strength to strength on the growing demand for professional risk specialisation services and advice.

“Bombora has proven that it is much more than just a dealer group with a new name and slogan. Our new business growth, productivity success and differentiation from other licensees has been achieved via a very clear vision of the future and a collaborative collegiate corporate model dedicated to servicing the needs of risk advice businesses and their clients”.
